Hi everyone, i normally post on "i had a stillbirth" but I thought a few of you might be able to help me out. I had a stillbirth feb 19th, 2005...since then, I have had 2 really heavy periods but the first day of my last period was AUG26th. I have gone to the doc but I am not pregnant....how the ____ am i supposed to know when my DH and i should be trying if i can't even be regular? Are any of you on any kind of medication that I can ask my doctor about? We REALLY REALLY want to start trying but we are both a little concerned. Please, any advice would be helpful!

After delivering Max in March of 04 my periods were screwy! My dr at the time put me on birth control to try to regulate me and I was all out of whack for about 14 months! Finally we found out that I wasn't ovulating- so my dr put me on Clomid to 'regulate' my periods! ;)And as he put it-if you get pregnant then I guess we regulated it,huh?TA DA.....it did the trick! Have you talked to your dr about the irregular af? The clomid was our only meds we did- but he had a long list of others that we could use if it didn't work. I hope he has some answers for you! Love and peace, xoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxo me

I had to be put on provera (progeseterone) to induce a period after my m/c. But they normally give it to make you have a cycle. So I would try that. GL

After my stillbirth my period came back normal, but after my m/c the dr had me take 2 cycles of very high level birth control to kind of get my body to go back to a rhythem.
After the 2 months of pills we just started trying. Well I got flustrated after a few month and started temping on fertilityfriend.com and boom, 2 months of temping and we pulled it off.
Talk to your dr. Maybe your body just needs a kick start to get a rhythem. and if you don't ovulate they have meds for that as well.
keep you chin up and have hope. I am pulling for you.

I think it's time to try something -- and the ladies here all have good suggestions. If you want to just jump-start your period, the progesterone usually does the trick. Good luck! Jen
