Today was a bit difficult and I looked at this christmas tree they have set up at my job and I just felt nothing.....I cried so much just thinking how am I ever going to feel joy again.....Then all of a sudden I remembered how I buy christmas cards and Netting then put hersheys kisses in them and tie them up with pretty tie-ons. I give them to the kids in my childrens class.....I actually smiled and look forward to doing it......lol.........I have to sit and make about 50 of them but I am so glad to feel something other than this complete sadness Ive been feeling....I wish everyone a peaceful day tomorrow

It's good to find something to look forward to through the pain. I know I don't like having to shop for all these babies and kids in my family. We don't have any kids of our own. What I'm looking forward to is Christmas day itself. We do all our family visiting on Christmas eve, and on Christmas day we just stay home and chill with wine and movies. I think the peace and quiet for a change after all the holiday run around will be nice. I'm glad you found something to make you smile through the tears. Those moments are so necessary.

Hey darlin. I know that the holiday will be hard for both of us. I at least have the luxery of not having to spend it with any children & I think that will make it easier for me. I am keeping some of our "traditions" (Can I use that word when we have only been doing this for 4 years so far?) I decorated the house, I bought presents early, & I will make our fudge & bread presents for co-workers on the 17th. I have cut back on a lot of things we normally do just b/c it seems to hard to do that this year ~ Just do what you feel like you can handle & the rest can wait until next year. I'm here if you need me hon. Brie

The holidays are brining lots of ups and downs this year. I didn't know what to expect, but I'm getting used to the mood swings you mentioned. Just a few more weeks - then we can focus on a new year!

That sounds like such a nice and simple gift for the kids. Enjoy your time making them!
