This may sound plain nuts............but I used to love lifetime tv for women.....great movies and everything...now I get mad and turn the channel because I can't take seeing all the baby stories they have.........people pregnant.......some who have twins it just seems so much about drama and babies lately....and I know it's always been like that but it just starts me crying now.....I just feel like I can't take much of anything right now..............

I used to love to watch lifetime and I have not seen it in a very long time either.

I had to give up TLC. A baby story or bringing home baby is not what I need right now. I get enough of that just being in public.

I was an idiot & programmed my TiVo to record every baby show known to man . . . & then found out that you really can't retrain those stupid things. 3 months later it still tries to record all the baby shows/movies/channels etc. I just crawl up in the recliner & read now. & no books with babies or pregnant women either!

I know what you mean. TV in general irritates me these days. Seem like more than half of what's on is some kind of overwrought family drama. I watch the news because I think it's important to be aware of what's going on the world, and there's a couple of shows I look at every now and then, but we have "netflix", so mostly I watch movies. I've been gravitating towards stand-up comedy, suspense, and documentaries lately.

I cant watch hardly anything either...even shows with no children have all the baby commercials in them...or Christmas ones...and the mail I keep getting, my poor dh asked the mailman to throw it away instead of leaving it...

Awww, honey - I know exactly what you mean! Sometimes I just go crazy b/c of all the baby stuff on tv. For weeks after my m/c I couldn't even turn on the tv without flipping across something like that and winding up in tears. Sorry you're having such a difficult time!

My poor Dh thought I was insane right after the m/c ~ the first diaper commercial I saw made me burst into tears ~ he forgot that we had been buying that brand of diapers & stockpiling them for March. . . . I scared the crap out of him that night, it was kinda funny later! He's also been taking all the baby crap we've started getting in the mail & either throwing it out or giving it to our friend's next door. I had signed up for the Parenting & Baby magazine with a 2 year subscription a week before the m/c . . . Tracie offered to give DH the $ for them since she is the one that really gets them now. I'm not signing up for anything until month 8 next time.
