My niece wanted me to give her a bath tonight. She wouldn't let anyone do it. So while I was bathing her I couldn't help think I should be doing those things with my angels. Then this girl that is a few days behind what I should be right now if I didn't lose Alexis posted belly shots and about her u/s on another site I belong to. It made me a little sad seeing that post.

*Hugs* It's always so hard to be around children b/c it's a reminder of what we don't have that we should have. My husbands nieces love me to death and I was extremely attached to them before my m/c but now it's hard to be around them. Instead of spending time with them now I just buy them lots of stuff and try to steer clear of them. I can't stand the pain of seeing two beautiful children that look just like my husband.

awwwww honey. I haven't had to give anyone a bath . . . don't really know how to do that anyway. I'm am better with my friend's little girl right now than I am with nieces. My Dh's nieces just remind me that I don't have a baby to add to the family mix . . . I'm still not good watching my DH pick up our friend's 3 yr old & play with her ~ she has the BIGGEST crush on him & it is sooooo cute & I loved watching them together before & while we were pregnant. After we lost Piglet, I saw him pick Madalyn (the 3 yr old) up & hug on her & it hit me how much he wanted to be a dad as much as I wanted to be a mom & it just about killed me for a second. I asked my mom (my psychological guru) if it's healthy for us to be so involved in the lives of our friend's kids & why I can't handle the neices right now ~ she said that us being able to still be attached is very healthy & that his neices look too much like him for me to be able to handle it & that is ok too. She has told me from the beginning to recognize when I can handle a situation & stick with it & that when I can't it's ok to run for the hills. Long story short - I think giving the bath was a wonderful thing for you to do - for both of you - & practice makes perfect right?! So practice on other people's kids so you have it down when you get one to bring home permanently. Brie

Brie~ Thanks. Sorry about the way you feel seeing your DH with your friend's little girl. I feel the same way seeing DH with our niece and nephew. It is hard for me to see my cousin's little girl cause she will be turning 5 this month and our first angel should have turned 5 in November. {{{{HUGS}}}
