Dear SG Family,
The long-awaited time has come to register for the 2008 Silent Grief Retreat that is taking place on October 10 - 12, 2008. Please visit www.clarahinton.com to see the agenda, to register for the Retreat, as well as to obtain information about Camp Allegheny (where the Retreat is being held). *Please note that your registration is not finalized until payment has been made. The camp facility requires us to prepay.
The keynote speakers are Clara Hinton, Bereavement Facilitator and author of Silent Grief, and her son Jimmy Hinton, M.Div. Jimmy will bring a special element to the Retreat by giving us a male perspective of grief, as well as tackling the most difficult question of "How do I go on after loss?" .
The agenda is one that contains many elements to help aid the broken heart towards healing. There is also an atmosphere that will promote a kindredship among all attendees. I know that you will make lifetime friends at this Retreat!
Donna Lemer, one of our first members of SilentGrief.com, will be leading one of the breakout sessions. Donna is an RN and she has first-hand personal experience in dealing with miscarriage, loss of an 11-day old son, suffering severe depression, and coming out a survivor.
Be sure to register soon as there is only space for the first 100 who register. It is our desire to keep the number small enough to promote a closeness among all.
The FAQ section of the site will not go live until the first week in April, but if you have questions prior to that date, please feel free to email me at: chinton@wpia.net . Use the subject line: SG Retreat. I will answer your questions promptly.
Please pray for this Retreat to be a time of healing time for all who attend.
I'll see you in October! I know this is going to be a most memorable time for all who attend!
Love,
Clara Hinton
