It doesnt seem to matter what time I go to bed..or if I nap or not. I haven't been able to get more then 3-4 hours sleep a night... which I'm sure isn't helping w/my "pleasant" mood (an I use that word loosely). Although last night was the first night since I've gotten pregnant I've actually gotten 6 1/2 hours sleep.
If you had this problem when/or did it work itself out? I start my 2nd trimester tomorrow (YAY!!)... so I'm hoping last night is a sign of the sleeplessness passing.
Anyone?

Darlene

I slept like crazy at first but this last week I am getting no sleep. Not just because i get up to pee every few hours but I toss and turn. I would be curious to find out too, when it will let up.

I can't sleep either but it's bc I spend most of my time running to pee! Plus, it's hard to get comfy. I think I may get a body pillow. My dr said it's fine to take Tylenol PM but I've never tried it. I don't remember it Ever working itself out when I was pg with DD. (not to sound gloomy- just being honest!) The bigger I got, the harder it was to find the right position. Congrats on hitting trimester TWO! Hope you start getting more rest. I hear ya on the mood thing!

I'm right there with you all. I sleep terribly and I have since my first trimester and now into my second. It was the same way with my son (only it didn't start until my second trimester with him) and unfortunately it didn't get any better.
My dr recommends taking Tylenol. He said it will help relax you. If that doesn't work he then says to try Tylenol PM.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to work for me, but I have had friends who it worked for!
Hang in there everybody!

May I join the NON-sleeping group... definately count me in. You know I can't remember when the last time was when I had a full say 6 hours of straight sleep. If it isn't for me getting up to pee, then it is my finding a comfy position (andI have a body pillow). Geesh. And I tell you there ain't anything good on tv at 3 or 4 in the morning. I was like this w/my dd, but I don't think it started as early as it did this time 'round. Oh well. Glad to knowI am not alone.

I'v gone so far as to move into the guest room trying to get a better night sleep. (no fighting for space of covers). Dh asked when I was "moving back in" and I told him most likely once the baby is born LOL

I can't sleep either and it is driving me crazy!!! I toss and turn and pee all night. And to make matters worse 2 night ago I got a yeast infection from the antibiatic I was taking so I was awake the entire night itching!!!!!!!!! If it is not one thing it is another. I guess we will all be in good practice for the sleepless night s we'll have with our babies!
