I have had morning sickness since I was 5 weeks along. I just get very nauseous but never vomit. The past week or so it has been so bad. I haven't been able to take my vitamins because I feel so sick and it seems the only cure is sleeping. I thought this should be ending soon since the first trimester is almost over. I hope it ends soon, I don't know if I can deal with this for 7 more months. I don't remember being this sick with my last pregnancy. That ended with a loss so I'm hoping this is just my rainbow baby telling me everything is going good. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I would love them. I am not a big fan of ginger ale.
Thanks: Jill

I also had really bad morning sickness with both my pregnancies (both ended in loss) I found seven up or sprite worked ok as well as crackers. Mint is also suppose to calm your stomach. Hope that helps.

Yay!!!! This is good because it is a reassuring sign that your pregnancy is still on track -- I read that it is linked with your increased progesterone levels, and that low progesterone levels are a very common cause of miscarriage. I know when I lost my baby last year the morning sickness was the first thing to go (about 3 weeks prior to the mc), so now I'm anxious to be nauseous!
That being said....morning sickness is wretched! Have you found there to be any difference between m.s. on an empty or full stomach? Try keeping food in your tummy at all times and see if that helps. I found it really useful on my first pregnancy to have a container of pineapple spears, because I could eat them instantly and the natural sugars helped counteract low blood sugar-induced nausea...and pineapple contains bromelain which is a natural digestion aid for breaking down food in your stomach. (Like beef and lettuce which instantly give me indigestion!)

Preggo pops (you can buy at Babies R Us) or even just hard lemon candies, really seemed to help when my nausea got bad.
