Ok, so I had to really laugh because when I first posted my weight on Dec 10, I said I had moved my cardioglide into my bedroom. I didn't start using it until Jan 12th...hahahahaha. Typical.
So I don't really have a goal weight, but I do remember what I looked like at certian points in my life and how much I weighed then. I would love to say that I weigh 150, but that's not realistic for me. 170 is a good number, I think.
I've committed to myself that I am going to do 15 minutes of cardioglide (very slight resistance) and another 10-15 of streching/toning, on week days. I won't even try on the weekends because that's when my dh is home and I know I'll get embarrassed or mad at him for watching me. lol.
Slow and steady is my plan. A friend of mine does ww and had lost 40lbs in 4 months by only using the points and walking. So I figure if I keep this up I can loose 20-25 by April...maybe? I want to go on vacation and look really good for my dh. (for me too... but you feel me?)
Personally, I don't want an accountability partner because I'm not concerned that much with what I eat, it's my inactivity that's a problem for me >>> in many areas of my life<<<. I've gotten VERY LAZY!!!
I made a promise to the Lord that I would first spend time in prayer and reading the Word every morning and then workout as an act of worship. I play my Christian songs and really focus on Him. And since I truly made a covenant with Him... believe me, I'm being held accountable.hahaha.
So, since Jan 12th, I've dropped 4 or 5 lbs. Not sure exact amount because I can't see the dial too well, but I know it's under 185! yay!

I weighed myself yesterday and i was 142. Wow. I have really gained weight over the past few months. So I decided to DO something about it. Goal weight is 125.. think I can do it?? Thats only 15 lbs.. not too shabby.
I think I have gained because of post pardom. I have seriously stopped taking care of myself!! I have NEVER been this big in my life (no, I'm not big.. and I am within a healthy weight range.. but it doesnt feel "natural" to my body.
I gained nearly 15 lbs AFTER having Jonas. I went back down to my normal weight (120's) then gained more weight. Sooo.. I just really need support in this!
I am drinking ONLY water, my gym membership will start next week, I have ordered several exercise videos to do at home, and I am eating really healthy. Right now, for breakfast, its oatmeal!
What are you girls doing differently?? I would love some tips.

Okay, I am jumping on too. I don't have a scale though so we're going to have to go out and get one. The last time I was weighed was when I was pregnant! And I think I ended up being at 250lbs the last time I was weighed, which was like 39 weeks. I imagine I've dropped quite a bit of that but I feel like I've gained a LOT back because I was so depressed for weeks after having Cade. Sigh. Plus it does not help that it's WINTER! I want to get out of the house and do something! Ah, well. Anyway, I will say my starting weight is 250lbs, until I can update and get a scale. (Plus, I want to say a higher number so when I get on the scale, I don't feel that bad, HA. I'm a loser.) Nik, for some tips, oatmeal is GREAT for in the morning, natural oats. The last time I dieted, I lost a TON of weight in three months just eating organic/all natural. A nurse friend of mine tipped me off - she said our bodies were not made to process all of these processed and chemically engineered foods, that is why we can't burn it. Tip: if you can't read the back of the ingredient panel, don't eat it! If the ingredient panel is longer than two or three lines, don't eat it. I LIVED off of natural and organic peanut butter, honey, oatmeal, eggs (hormone free), fresh veggies and fruit, and organic meat (it's hard to find but I've had luck at our local Walmart). Try to steer away from things with added hormones. Here we go girls! I AM EXCITED!

Ok I am on board as of TODAY!!!! I just joined weight watchers online and have added my weight loss ticker to my siggy (oyie!! I never in my life thought I would be this big) I am just miserable with the way I look and feel so today is the start of a new begining. I want to be healthy for myself and for my family. I would love any tips anyone has...I can't join a gym as really there just aren't enough hours in the day....so anything I can do at home would be great too. We are going to try and get a treadmill in the next month or so but I can't wait that long to start working out....I NEED TO LOSE THIS WEIGHT and I have been procrastinating so much....and for every reason in the book...does anyone want to hold me accountable? I need someone to do that.....so....good luck to us all...I look forward to our journey together in this horrid battle called weight loss.....
Love, Dawn

I'm jumping in! I am at 136 lbs, and would like to be at 120-125. I feel perpetually frustrated in this area of my life and suspect that some of my heart meds are slowing down my metabolism. But I think the root of the problem is emotional eating and my pure hatred of all kinds of exercise.
So here I am!!

I think I am ready to join you guys...I am finally making some progress!
I am normally about 125 lbs, but was 137 lbs when I got pregnant. I went up to 177lbs, 20 of which came off right away and put me at 157 lbs after Brody was born. Then over the last 7 months while dieting, exercising and bf I only lost 7 lbs!! Now as of last week I weighed 150 lbs.
I weighed myself this morning and I am down to 145 lbs! I lost 5 lbs in the last week, the only thing i have done differently is walking instead of running? I don't know why that made any difference but it did!

Another week on WW online and 2 more pounds lost for a total of 12 pounds in the first month. I still have a way to go but I am happy with that! The next thing I need to do is get on a "regular" exercise program. We are thinking about buying a treadmill too. Good luck to all of us on this weight loss journey!!!

I would like to join you. I started last year in May at 345 pounds. When the doctor put me on Metformin he told me it might help me lose weight since I have PCOS. Well as of this morning I am at 251 pounds. I really haven't changed my eating habits all that much, I just stopped eating chips and drinking pop. I am down almost 100 pounds and still have about 90 to go. My goal weight with my doctors support is approximately 160 - 170. I am going to add another ticker to my signature to track my weight loss.
