Two posts have been deleted today and I don't know entirely why. One was on MAL and while people didn't agree with the person who posted it, I didn't find it to be mean spirited (of course, I could have missed something towards the end). The other post, I started on LOYC. I'm not going to get into what it was about, because I'm sure you know and I'm sure you had a reason for deleting it. I just don't know what that reason was. I do feel that it had some valid points that were being discussed and overall, I think most people were in agreement and not being mean. Just questioning, if you understand what I am saying.

I just wanted to say that I totally respect that posts need to be locked, and even sometimes deleted, but I think that it's nice to have an explaination when possible, and then the posts locked, rather than just totally taken away. Obviously there are cases that they should be taken away, but for the majority..... I think there is less talk behind the scenes when things are taken care of out in the open rather than just brushed under the rug to be gone forever. I've always appreciated the way that Clara has handled ending certain topics, treating us all like adults with kind explainations, and often her words offer healing and remind us of our perspective. I would like to see that continue.

I did not realize that Clara had appointed moderators other than herself and Joe.

Dear SG Members,
Unfortunately, I was away for most of the weekend and did not get to read all of the posts that were written, then deleted.
I have received several pm's which I just finished reading through that are basically saying that certain people are very upset with seeing a young child's life endangered. When pictures are posted that are upsetting such as the picture of the child in the car seat, there are many people (myself included) who get upset over the welfare of a child.
That being said, I'm not always sure what to do about something like this. So, I use my better judgement at the time when things are most heated up. Sometimes people will not agree with me. I'm still learning what is the best course of action to take.
I'm still reading and catching up on posts, so be patient with me. I'm not ignoring your questions; I'm still in the process of finding some answers so that I can give you answers.
Thanks for your patience!
Love, Clara
