I still feel like a newcomer, but so many of you were here for several years before I was. Does the pain lessen so that you just move on? After my daughter's passing, we had a son, but he has special needs and takes most of my time.

The pain never really lessens......it simply becomes a part of who you are. For me losing the pain would be letting go of him completely. At some point you realize you just kept going, because what choice do you have? You find good in some things and some days are good. Other days the pain swoops in. I wish you more gentle days then painful ones. I am sorry for you loss. It must also be hard to have a son with special needs. I am sure he is the light in your life though. I pray that you have strength everyday and good in your life.
