Sometimes it's good to express our love to our child -- even though our child is no longer here with us. It's a way of validating that our child was real -- a way of us staying connected. A way of us saying that not even death can break our bond with our child.
A special "I love you" to my son, Samuel. I wish so much that you were here today talking to me, eating a meal with me, walking the field together with me planning a garden together. I love you, Samuel, and I pray you are looking down from heaven with a smile on your heart.
