who was involved in an auto accident on Sept. 23rd on his way home from work. He suffered a brain injury. He does open his eyes but is not awake. His first child was born on October 4th. He was so excited about his baby girl. I was present when she was born, I cut the cord for him and have video taped this too. I pray to God that he wakes up soon. I have been at the hospital by his side since the accident.

My son has made a lot of progress physically . . . he had his trach removed today and now only has a feeding tube. He is moving a lot of his body but has yet to wake up. As the dr stated "he has missed a lot of potholes." Prayer does move mountains. Please continue to pray for him that he will wake up soon and see his precious new daughter. Thanks to everyone who has prayed and continues to pray for him.

My son is now awake, in a rehab hospital and has saw his daughter for the first time since his accident on Saturday, October 22nd. When the nurse put the baby in his arms, the nurse said he kissed her on the head. He has begun to talk at a whisper and told me on Sunday "I love you too." It felt wonderful. I know he has a long road ahead of him but God has been answering prayers for him daily. Please continue to pray that his rehab will continue on a positive note and that God will give him strength to work hard so he can come home to his baby girl.

Thanks for the prayers. God has been answering every prayer. Everyday seems to be a little better for my son. The drs think he will be in rehab for another 4 weeks and he is working hard too.

Sorry it has taken me so long to update. My son was released from the rehab hospital and came home on Dec. 7, 2011. He continues to receive weekly outpatient speech, occupational and physical therapies. He is now walking on his own but is still having some vision problems along w/some behavior issues which include mood swings. I have noticed lately that a lot of his body mannerisms are coming back, too. However, his GF and new baby girl have now moved away. Please continue to pray for my son b/c I do believe in the power of prayer.

Any updates? Does your son get to see his baby? Is he making progress with his physical therapy?
Hopefully, things are moving along in a positive way. Prayers continue to be said. And, I'm with you -- I'm a firm believer in prayer!!!
Love, Clara

I truly believe in the power of prayers. My son is getting stronger and doing better. He continues to receive weekly physical, speech and occupational therapies. However, he has almost met his physical therapy goals. He is once again living w/me. He does have mood swings right now but is getting better w/his impulse controls. No, he hasn't been able to see his baby girl since January. Hopefully, we will get a set visitation through the court system soon. I thank God for my miracle boy.
