Thank you all. It is doing my heart so much good to see so many willing to register themselves, and those who can't being willing to pass this info on to family members and friends.
If anyone has a desire to make a similar post to friends on fb, etc. please do. I cannot do so at this time because her girls are on my fb, and she is not to the point that she is ready to have the discussion that needs to occur. But if anyone would like to spread the word that way, feel free...you can even use the story as long as it is not posted as my aunt.
Thank you again. I wish I could give each of you a huge hug for being willing to do what you can, whether that means registering yourself or just spreading the word. I feel so very, very helpless. If I cannot help her, at least maybe I can help someone else with your support.

I registered last night after I read a different thread. I had your aunt in my mind as I was doing it. I get the kit in a week. I have also mentioned it to a few friends, who are all willing to register.

I'm not qualified due to an autoimmune issue, asthma, and arthritis.

I am a registered donor, but I guess not a match. I am so, so sorry for what your family is going through.

hi. i have been reading all over this site. i registered but i failed on neck and spine issues from the past. that just stinks. i try to donate blood whenever i feel up to it or not pg/ttc. i got rejected the last time because my iron was like .2 too low and they had a supervisor from united blood services standing in on all the screenings. i have a universal blood type and i do not understand how muscle pain in those areas could affect being a donor. i saw a chiropractor with just more aches and pains. the pt helped the most. why am i not able to be a donor? beats me...sorry.
