Dear SG Family, You all have asked many times over for a board where EVERYONE can come together to get to know each other more. So, this place has been created for you.
There are no specific guidelines here except to use this as a fun place to get to know each other more personally. Members from all boards are welcome here.
I do ask the following: 1) Do not post your address or phone number publicly (for obvious reasons) 2) Do not use this board as a place for selling items on Ebay, or for advertising your personal line of business 3) Do not form cliques where you exclude members
DO have lots of fun introducing yourselves and using this board for topics such as neat places to travel, tasty food/recipes, sharing hobbies, and for just plain fun topics!
Enjoy!
Love, Clara ;D

;D ;D Enjoy! By the way, I'm Clara Hinton, the founder of this SilentGrief.com website. My son, Joe, wrote all of the programming for the main body of the site and presented this to me as a Mother's Day gift several years ago. Little did either of us know at the time that this website would grow from one person (me) to a place where thousands come together daily to get help and encouragement. Thank you so much, Joe! I am the author of the book, "Silent Grief", and I continue to do a lot of writing (which I love)! www.clara-hinton.blogspot.com and www.clarahintonhope.blogspot.com , plus more! I suffered 6 miscarriages (at different trimesters), and delivered one stillborn son, Samuel. When I was 15-year-old, my 13-year-old sister died from an asthma attack. I have also been very blessed with 11 living children, and 13 grandchildren. "My quiver is full!" ;D ;D I work a full-time job (which I love), and my hobbies include flower gardening and photography (visit me on flickr!). I care deeply about this website, and it is always my prayer that this will be a place of hope and healing to all those who have gone through the pain of child loss. love, Clara PS I love cooking, too, especially Italian cooking! ;D

I will jump in. I am LindaC and am from the LOTA board but I will pop up on all the boards. I have been here for 8 years come Sept. and when I first joined we were very small and we all posted back and forth on all the boards so I got to know people from all over. I love that no matter what board is our home we can all relate to each other. I have made many great friends here and have been blessed to meet a couple dozen of them. Some have become closer than irl friends. We are just separated by miles. I am a theater addict, perform in community theater, sing, crochet and read. I am the old lady around here so is really neat that I can have so many younger friends. My son died at the age of 30 in 2002. I decided early on that I had to work at getting the most out of each day that we have. It is what my son would have wanted. Something good has to come out of tragedy and I believe that this site is that something. I am looking forward to others posting here and maybe getting to know some more people. Thank you Clara and Joe for giving all of us this blessing.

Hi! I'm Dawn. Used to post as DawnN. I joined SG back in August 2004 after my 2nd m/c. I got pg. with my dd Sarah, shortly after joining, and went through my pg. with many wonderful SG sisters, who helped me though all the anxieties of pregnancy after a loss. Sadly I went on to lose 3 more, before I was finally treated and able to have my last two, Ben & Caitie. SG has been such a blessing to me. Thank you, Clara. (((hugs)))

I had PROM due to an Incompetent Cervix. Iam glad for the wonderful ladies that I have got to meet here. They have been very helpful during this very difficult journey of grief.. DH and I are hoping to be wonderfully surprised with the news of a sibling for Ty. I know I will need my wonderful SG sisters esp when I finally join PAL. Hoping to "meet" and know more about you lovely ladies here!

Hi! I'm Dawn, I have been a member of these boards since 2002, after having my second miscarriage. I used to post under hannah51901. I went through my pregnancy with dd who is now 5 (soon to be 6) with such wonderful love and support from these boards, I have since lost two more babies and am pregnant again (20 weeks).
Currently I am a SAHM and student, trying to finish up my degree. I have an amazing husband who is truly a blessing in my life. In my free time I am a photography nut, I love to tinker with different types of photography and development. I also enjoy being outdoors and of course anything to do with my family.
SG has been a huge blessing in my life, as are the ladies on these boards. I would have been lost without them. Thanks Clara for dedicating so much of your time and effort to keep these boards going!!

Hi! I'm Niki, i've been a member of SG since March 2008, about a month after I lost my little Pookie. I had a missed miscarriage, so Pookie had left us at 9 weeks, but I miscarried at 12. The amazing women here have given me comfort and strength, during the hard times of TTC, and during my pg with our DD Tori I'm once again back on the TTC journey, hoping to give our girl a baby brother or sister early next year! I am currently a student in my 4th year of a psychology degree, and i should be finished and convocating next May (pending baby of course). In my down time I love to read and scrapbook and i'm practicing photography, with hopes to make it a side business in the future I'm looking forward to meeting many more people through these posts!

I'm Anita. I have been a member since Nov.09. I lost Francis at 14 weeks July 09 and Henry at 6 weeks in April 10. My husband and I have been married 20 years and are parents to 9 children age 20 to 2. ( 5 boys and 4 girls) We homeschool and are active in several homeschool-related activities. In my spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading and hand sewing. My husband has gone back to school after a 20 year absence to get his ph.d in political science with the hope of teaching college some day. He will be an "old" new prof!

This is awesome ;D
I'm Allie and I have been a member of SG since January 2010. I have had two miscarriages. I lost my daughter Autumn on October 11, 2006 at 16w5d, and had my second m/c January 9, 2010, at 10w1d, a little girl who I have named Jamie Rayne. I am a Paramedic, and student taking general classes and working to get my license as a critical care paramedic and eventually obtaining my RN.
SG has been so helpful for me and has become a safe place. I know that I can come here and share my thoughts and feelings with women who understand completely. I'm so thankful for all of the wonderful women I've had the chance to meet; I love my SG sisters!

Hi all... I'm Laura, aka "LauraBeth" here on SG. I've been a part of SG since 2002 (Can it really be that long??) I think I found SG after m/c#1, and joined up after m/c#2.
Lately I haven't been around as much as I'd like - computer issues both at home (getting time to get on line when DH or DDs aren't on the computer) and at work (super secret security lockdown and computer crashes). However, I do make it by to read the posts - just not able to always respond, even though you all are always in my thoughts and prayers.
I've had 4 m/c back to back in a 12 month span (2002/2003). Through the miracle of science, DD#2 was born with the help of PGD (preimplantation genetic diagnosis). I have two terrific DDs, three fun cats, and a great DH.
SG has been and continues to be my sanctuary. I've made a lot of good friends here, and some are now dear friends in real life as well. Many thanks to Clara and Joe for this haven.
(((HUGS)))

(I need to call you!) I'm Rachel. I came to SG November 2003 after my first loss. I was here for my second loss, then the joyous birth of Allie. Then 2 more losses and most recently the birth of TJ. Hoping this trend doesn't continue and I can stay on PAL whenever I get there again.

Hi! I am Thera. I came here in July 2009 after losing my 13 month old daughter Savannah due to a drowning accident. I have 3 other children who are currently living with my SIL. They were taken from me by CPS after Savannah died.
I found this site through another member who had a stillbirth. She sent me the site the day after my daughter died.
I have met wonderful people here. Some who I consider more loyal friends than my irl ones. I have had the opportunity to meet one of the girls here, rileyandtheowl, aka Jo. I am so thankful for this site. Thank you so much Clara and Joe for this wonderful place!

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Hello Everyone! My name is Pam and by the grace of GOD I was directed to this forum on Christmas Eve 2008 - 5 days after my miscarriage of Precious Peanut. I don't know where I would be had I not joined. Everyone here has been a blessing to me. I'm 36yrs old and have 3 amazing children. David (16yrs), Angela (3yrs) and Preston (7 months)... I also have 3 Angel babies. Two I miscarried between 6-8wks and Precious was 12wks. I'm a WAHM & SAHM. I work for a precious metal refinery so if anyone has any old jewelry you're looking to get rid of, talk to me first so I can make sure you get the most $$ back! In my spare time, I'm addicted to Facebook and enjoy a good Mitch Album book or movie. I'm a lover of Deadliest Catch, Forensic Files, Law & Order, The Nick @ Nite line up and I have to admit, iCarly (thanks to my children!). Thank you so much Clara & Joe for making this forum and keeping it going. Without it, many of us if not all of us would've been lost. And I have to give my thanks to God also for directing me here. (((HUGS TO ALL MY SISTERS OUT THERE)))) Pam www.facebook.com/pamguarino

Thank you for this thread! My name is Candace, and I first joined SG in December 2009 under the screen name, Carly. My first mc was a missed mc, discovered at 11 weeks, but the baby had stopped developing in the 9th week. I was ecstatic to join PAL in early April, only to experience a second mc at 7 1/2 wks. I've completed a full recurrent panel and hope that results mean a healthy baby in 2011. I have one son, Joe, who is 19 (yes, I had him young ) who has just finished his second year of college. I'm a middle-school English teacher, and in my free time I enjoy reading and doing anything outdoors. I especially love hiking and cycling. SG has been such a blessing in my life. Admittedly, I spend much of my day here.
