On the evening of Dec 16th 2010, my husband, my mother and I went to Labor and Delivery because I hadn't really felt my baby boy move all day. The staff did some tests and I had to have an emergency c-section. Very early the next morning, my baby Dylan went to another hospital and with my legs still numb, was put in a wheelchair to go see him. The next day after that I was released from the hospital, so my mother, my mother-in-law and I went to the hospital where Dylan was at. He was on so many machines. To clear his lungs, for blood transfusions and medicines. On Dec 21st, the doctors told my husband and I that he was brain dead. So that evening we pulled the respirator out and his heart stopped beating while he was in my arms. We are all devastated. He lived for almost 5 whole days. He was perfect and had a full head of hair. I miss my little Dylan.

Rylee's mom - I would love to talk with you about this. I had the exact same thing happen to me a month ago. I am so confused but have done a LOT of reading and met with a high risk OB. I would love to compare notes and info with you. You are NOT alone.

thatgirlang2 - Did they determine if Dylan suffered from massive fetal maternal hemorrhage? I am so sorry for your loss. I bet there are more of us out there than we realize. They say its occurrence is under-reported because doctors don't know to test for it.
