Carol, they are awesome!!! You certainly have a wonderful talent. I think it is great that you are going to make these for someone else. I am sure it will be treasured.

Thank you, Corinne. I was so excited about the ones I am doing for someone else that I got up early and tried to see how I could get the two bears from one shirt. I put interfacing on the back of the fabric and didn't have enough to get started. Last night I got both of them cut out. I need to do some house cleaning this morning but hope I can sew this afternoon. The shirt had wide stripes and I made the bears look different. I am interested in seeing how they turn out. Carol

More of a satisfying moment than happy but...I got the motivation to put Christmas lights on the little crabapple tree that my boss planted in Kari's memory. I can see it out my bedroom window. I think I just started a new tradition. I have a wren house that Kari bought for me the weekend before she died, hanging on a lower branch and the lights are all around. It looks so nice-wish I had the right equipment to show you all on the computer. Someday! Love, Gina
ps Carol, those bears are so cute! What a great idea.

Hi Gina, A moment of satisfaction is so much better than the long spells we sometimes have without satisfaction or happiness. Your tree sounds wonderful! Do you have a way of sending the picture to me? I could put it in my photo place and show it here.
Thank you for your kind comments about the bears. Carol

Pamela, what wonderful news! It will be wonderful to have Michelle home. My daughter and her family are on their way here. They live 100 miles away.
Judiann, it is good to see your sense of humor! I hope things go better for you and you get some hugs and support.

I'm thankful for my new grandson. I don't know how I'd get through Christmas without him, or even last few months. He's the sweetest little thing. Born 6 weeks premature. Weighed 4 pound 12 ozs. He's two months old now and doing great! I don't know how to post pictures here. So this is MSN Silent Grief. groups.msn.com/SilentGrief/brandon.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=7732

This was far and away the best day since Nov. 23, 2004.
My daughter and her husband and son are here from NC and we have snow. I had bought a flimsy sled a while back just in case we would have snow when they were here. We went out to pull Gary, 3, in the sled. Then we decided to try going down the hill with him. The first hill is between our house and the next. We were all laughing so hard. I forgot what having fun was like. All five of us took turns and little Gary was so delighted. We then tried the big hill and had to bail out before a drop off to a trail.
Aaron's wife was here for supper and everyone was in a good mood so that was really nice. Also she is going to stay the night with us Christmas night. I am so glad. I hated her going home alone last year so I went home with her for a while.
THEN my daughter's friend who lost her dad when she was a senior in high school came over. She brought me the most beautiful lighted igloo from Studio 56. I cried, of course, but it touched my heart. Aaron built and lived in an igloo in Colorado and igloos immediately connect us with him.
I wish and pray for a day like this for each person here. Carol
