Glad everything looked good! WHat a relief!
So my appointments took forever today! we were there for 2 hours! Then we went out for lunch afterward. Got in the car, and DH's car wouldn't start! Called AAA...they came, and all it was was his battery connections were loose..thank god! I didn't want to have to buy a new battery!
SO happy my cervix is cooperating (as the dr. puts it..haha) And even HAPPIER that i have only 4 weeks of bedrest left! I have a feeling Liam will come the 1st or 2nd week of Jan...cause we'll be busy. We're gonna do a Breast feeding class the 7th, Infant care class the 5th..and have to meet sometime with the pediatrician! (Plus do anything else i want to do before baby comes...clean the house, arrange his room, walk the mall, lol)

We had my parents over for coffee (i had apple cider) a couple of nights ago, and we were talking about what we need, and what we have for the baby, and i asked if there was any idea when the baby shower would be. I have friends from school and work asking, and i feel bad that i have to keep saying "i have no idea"... well, its probably going to be either the 11th or 18th of January! that's cutting it REALLY close, especially since i don't think this baby is going to stay in until February 7th! as it stands, i`m worried that i won`t have anything that we`re going to need for Jellybean before she or he arrives!
with that said, what would anyone suggest i pick up (we have a crib, change table, car seat and a couple of outfits) before the middle of January...

Thought I would stop by and say Hi!
I saw Jillian on last night, but before I could get anything posted to catch her attention she was gone. Hope she is holding her baby right now!
Glad to hear that everybody is doing well and hanging in there. I'm hanging in too. Baby was moving around a lot yesterday, but not as much today. I think she is taking a lazy day off. It's pretty dreary here. Plus, I'm chasing my son and his friend around today, so I haven't had a lot of tme to sit down and let her take over.
I'm sorry I haven't been around much. AS predicted this semester is kicking my butt. I have a little over a week left before my thesis is due. I'm about 90% done and mainly have some editing and minimal adding to do now. Yuck!!!!!!! I'm ready for it to be over with though, so I must trudge on. In my last discussion I had told you all how much work sucked. It's better now. Just tough finding out who your real friends are.
I think that is everything........(((((((((HUGS and Positive thoughts to all)))))))))))

Man, i'm so tired!! I slept HORRIBLY last night. Went to bed at 10:30...and the last time i looked a the clock before i fell asleep, was at 12:20! Ugh! I was then up like every hour uncomfortable. THen being out and about for the dr. appointments wears me out. I know if i take a nap though, i'll have an even harder time sleeping!

Oh, and as i expected....dr. said there is nothing i can do about the hip pain except take tylenol if it gets really bad. No fair They hurt!! Had the 3rd tri talk with the nurse about delivery. My plan as of today (i'm sure it'll change) is to try nubain (pain med) and jacuzzi (there are jacuzzis in every room) first, and then go to an epidural if i need it.

Im goin in asking for the epidural I got one at 4cm with Lexi, and this time I know for sure I want one again, it made a world of difference for me and my labor. I got to enjoy the most part of my hard labor without feeling much pain at all... I dont like PAIN .....but then again, who does?? I think some people just have a higher tolerance for it than others

I haven't decided what I'm doing yet this time. With DD, my epidural ran dry (stupid nurse, I can say that becasue I am one and what she did was negligent ) and I ended up pushing with no pain meds on board. It hurt like he** With DS, I had an excellent nurse who understood what happened before and made sure I was comfortable, which was great but I ended up not being able to feel my legs. Didn't care though, because I didn't feel a thing during delivery and was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the epidural didn't wear off for 7 hours and that is a long time to not feel your legs. So, I don't know. I had stadol when I went into preterm labor with my son and I didn't have pain, but labor could have just stopped. Who knows. I've got 18 weeks to figure it out. I have to admit the jacuzzi sounds good.

Ha, ha, Sara...your plan sounds like mine. My oldest was faced backward, so I had terrible back labor. We had just moved an hour north, so I had an hour's car ride with one constant, long contraction. There was no break at all for me to catch my breath. Dh was doing 90 on the freeway and it still felt like the ride took forever. The hospital was right by a university with a lot of young married couples, and they treated births like they were a dime a dozen. I got the rudest nurse, who kind of rolled her eyes and told me to breathe through it while they determined if I was really in labor. They hooked up the monitor and immediately saw one huge contraction that never went down, just had little dips. (I got more sympathy then). When they put in an epidural, 5 minutes later I said to DH, "So, do you want to play a card game or something?" He was shocked that I could go from excruciating pain to feeling good just like that. I have told him I'd get an epidural from now on, just for his sanity's sake. MTA: Susan, I have had problems with epidurals as well. With seth it wore off while I was pushing. Luckily though I only have to push two or three times, so other than a few minutes of pain it turned out okay. With Noah, the epi didn't go in right. I felt all of the "drugged" symptoms, though, so it took me a while to realize it wasn't working. They kept upping the does with no effect. Finally they replaced it, but since it hadn't worked before, they started with a lot bigger dose than I needed. I had to have dh support noah while i held him because my arms were numb.
