Well I have posted here some months ago and then decided it was too soon after the loss of my daughter to have another baby. Well I was hoping to get to know you ladies better on this board bc November is Go month for TTC. I am not even nervous, I feel as though God has taken the wheel. I am giving my body time to adjust to life without anti-depressents. I am offically off my zoloft!!! I was wondering if anyone who weaned off of it had any kind of weird electrical type feelings, tingling, or the like, it is sort of hard to describe. I went down to 25 mg and then nothing. I had tried this summer and dropped from 50 to nothing and couldnt stand it so I talked to my MD and tried it a bit slower. I generally post on the loss of a young child board but am hoping to keep the momentum up to do both. I have a beautiful angel with me always and I know she would love to have a little brother or sister.
God bless you all and I hope all of our TTC journeys our short ones!
Much love, your friend in grief Vicky

Vicky,
A sad but warm welcome. I was on Zoloft 5 years ago and when they weaned me off it I completely crashed! So I don't remember if there was any tingling etc. I wish you the best on your TTC journey. Hopefully it will be very short and you can be on PAL before you know it. BTW all the women here are POAS addicts so I hope you have some willpower ;D

Vicky
Welcome to TTC. The tingling, electrical feelings you described are very normal. I spoke once w/ a pharmacist and he said doc know nothing about weening patients off these types of drugs and quite often have them ween way too fast. When I cam off mine here's what I did. I had pills, not capsules. I started by cutting the pills in half. Then because they were already so small I would take the knife and just scrape some off and put the powder on my tongue. Whenever my brain started doing the whirling dervish, I would scrape a little more powder off a pill w/ my knife. Eventually, I was doing this less and less and less till I didn't have to do it anymore. I suggest that, if you can, scrape a little of the pill off w/ a knife and take some. It will help ease your w/ drawl symptoms. My pharmacist, (they know so much more about these things than docs do) said this method was perfectly acceptable.
