Dalles as you all know is home....Home until October, and then heads for a peace keeping mission in Kosovo/Serivjo.....Then the dumb kid has a neon on sign on his forehead, and is screaming...."I want to go to Afganistan"....Well we will see....

He had a difficult time adjusting to civilian life, but is now working full time with the National Guard as a mobile recruiter....He is doing quite well for himself.....

I think I hear wedding bells in the future, but they are not ringing loud enough yet, for me to announce anything....

My nephew Neal, is still in the Marines and is stateside right now. He is getting married in July and then going for his first tour of duty in Irag on August 11th.

Luckily my dh, children and I will be able to spend some time with him before he ships out.

The whole family is praying that he comes home safe.

Thank you Donna for updating us all. Garrett is still in Iraq. They had been told they would be
out in July, but now that is maybe being extended. In the meantime, his young wife called him in Iraq to tell him she was going home, she needed to be free to live her life. So he could use some extra prayers to get through this.

Hey I know there are more of us out there then the three of us........JUST LOOK AT our Prayer list...

Whats up, how is everyone doing, how is it going for your loved one, how is the reentery for those that came home......How are you doing????? Need to hear

My husband is doing work ups right now...preparing to deploy in January...it will be the first time we will be apart for our daughters heaven day....

My nephew is still in the states, thankfully. He is talking about reinlisting so if he does, he won't be home until Feb for a visit at the earliest. Haven't seen him in about a year. He recently got divorced. It was probably for the best, but hard on him none the less...prayers for you all!

My brother is still in training in Quebec and doing well. I can't imagine how hard it must be for him to be apart from his infant son and his wife. They are staying with her parents while he's in training. I think he gets some time off for Thanksgiving, though, which is this coming weekend here in Canada.

Thank you all for your updates, and I hope and pray that you will continue to update us as you are able.

I've been doing a lot of grief teaching and workshops lately, and I can say without hesitation that the military issues are creeping up to be a huge daily grief with so many families right now. So many families are affected in so many different ways, and there seems to be so little support available.

I'm so glad to see this thread being used, and it is my hope that you all will continue to provide love and support through these difficult situations of separation, injuries, emotional and physical trauma, and always the most dreaded of all -- death. :'(

Please know that my very special prayers are with each and every family.
